This protocol is among the latest CDR approaches approved to issue Core Carbon Principles (CCPs) labeled credits from the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM).
LET’S REWIND
ICVCM introduced the CCPs to distinguish the highest-integrity carbon credits. Only registries and protocols that meet strict criteria earn the CCP label, giving buyers an independent review of protocol rigor. The CCP review process ensures that carbon credit protocols meet a uniform quality standard across ten key principles such as permanence, additionality and transparency.
WHY IT MATTERS
Graphyte’s project, developed under an Isometric protocol, is now eligible to issue CCP-labeled credits with previously-issued credits also receiving it retroactively. This represents a global threshold for high-integrity, high-quality carbon credits, based on rigorous, science-aligned criteria.
The CCP label provides buyers with easier screening and reduced procurement risk using an internationally-recognized integrity benchmark.
