Graphyte has signed a long-term agreement with JPMorganChase to supply 60,000 tons of durable carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits over the next decade, underscoring continued momentum for high-integrity carbon removal solutions. The deal reflects increasing demand from large institutions seeking scalable approaches to address residual emissions.
The credits will be generated using Graphyte’s Carbon Casting process, which converts biomass into a stable form for permanent underground storage. By compressing and sequestering carbon-rich organic material, the method aims to deliver long-duration removal while utilising waste streams from agriculture and forestry.
Initial deliveries will be sourced from Project Loblolly in Arkansas, alongside a second facility, Project Ponderosa, currently under development in the western United States. Project Loblolly has already begun issuing credits, marking early commercial traction for the company’s approach.
